Wiltshire Shooting Centre New Management

Its £40 an hour for the full bore range. I just called and spoke to Jo who deals with bookings. There is a massive wood butt stop that you can put any target on, I like to use my own but they will provide card targets.

The metal deer rig is a separate thing. You would have to ask about it, I didnt use it. They have 50m and 25m ranges to but I only use the full bore 100.

You are basically firing down a train tunnel, setup as a ballistic test facility. They provide Benchs to shoot from, various rests, bags and a spotting scope.
Its £40 PER PERSON per hour, not per lane. One of our members took his son on Saturday and was asked to pay £80 for the hour. He walked away.

Well that’s how most pay and play ranges work now per person ! . Unless our club books a range then we pay for the day not the hr

That seems a bit unfair, per person, as with one lane only one person can shoot safely at one time so they get half an hour each !!

Now that it is £40 an hour it is the same price as at Jeremy Horton's range at Waddington Farm.
His range has a camera on the target to save having to use a spotter and seating at a bigger desk area.
Also under cover as the shooting bench is in a hut.
The website of Widdington Farm doesn't mention a full bore rifle range, any idea if it's still running?

I've no idea if it is still running but can't see him not using it after paying so much for the set up, a quick phone call would soon find out surely.

Widdington farm is now £50 Per hour I've heard from a friend who went recently.

I did ask at the Wiltshire shooting Centre if, now they have put their price up, whether they intend to put a camera at the target end to save using a spotter and was told yes.
Does anybody know if it has happened yet.

When I last spoke with them, they are trying to find a way of running cables/cameras so they wont get shot.

I was told it was a group of five shots that took out a video camera and the wiring so not just a random shot. How that is possible without knowing I can't imagine.

I suppose there is room enough for two persons to shoot but when I have been up there I have only been comfortable arranging a one position.

There's only been one bench there when I have used it but hey ho perhaps they adjust for your club.
There's a fold out plastic and metal bench and 2 of the slot together ply ones, if there's only one at the 100 yard firing point the others are generally further down the tunnel around the 50 yard point.

That explains it to me then. I've only ever used what was already at the 100 yard point. However now, at that price, I may find a friendly farmer I'm sure will accept less than £40.
