Poms leaving Blighty for Australia.

would move to the USA in a shot. Need to find me a sponsor...

Ideally, middle of nowhere Idaho, somewhere like that, I do like the PNW area, lotsa trees.

One problem with both Aus and NZ are the large number of UK cops who bring their anti-gun bias with them.

Its a genuine problem.

Can you substantiate that with some sort of evidence?
I ask as I have lived here for over 70 years and am yet to actually run into a Pom copper...true.
If you want evidence you could have a look for yourself I suppose?
What degree of substantive matter would you find acceptable?
From what I gather you live in the boonies of QL,a location unlikely to be on the top of any expat bobbies list of choice posting .

The wife is a Teacher. I wouldn’t get out of bed for what they expect from her and what they pay.

I truly believe she’s wasted the last 20 years of her life in teaching in the UK. Thankless task.
Its for separate thread so I'll simply observe:

Why should any enthusiastic would-be Teacher (of any subject) be expected to have a similar aptitude and desire to spend c50% of their day dealing with issues that are for either Social Services or the Parent/s?

And against a backdrop of fear that if you make a wrong call in your approach to a situation, that might just as easily arise from compassion rather than frustration/annoyance, you risk losing everything.
