To be honest they make me uncomfortable to be near to I always have felt that way so perhaps I have a tat phobia built in, it might have been the feller with tats around 1957 that my mum was seeing he thumped me a few times as I just about can still remember.

No, my personal opinion on tattoos is that in the main they look ridiculous and the reason for the increase in those folk getting them is aligned with the modern society mentality we live in. (I’m sure you’ll twist that into something I don’t mean but crack on
). I’ve seen a few decent ones in my time tbf, but very few.I just don’t get sweated up about middle aged men talking sh&te about random unimportant subjects on an online forum, some clearly do and act like the forum police.
I also don’t impose my view on others, as I clearly said, crack on. Neither do I edit my posts.
C’mon, the last sentence was a little funny…..

Did you know there are 100,000 folks with ADHD claiming benefits, and they don't have to seek employment... Everyone else probably has it, but we crack on... tattoos and all, I love my dragon!

I got a tat in my fifties, it pretty much tells the story of my life. The centre is a compass with a snowflake in the middle above crossed ice axes and a coil of rope, the background is a map of New Zealand where I grew up and at the top on my shoulder is a vista of the Dachstein Mountains where I have ended up. No regrets at all.
best not to bring her home for tea...Super cool and sexy eh Tim lad…..

Personally I am not a fan of most tattoos. First impressions count, and many, self included, do find that you are drawn to the tattoos and that gives you the first impression, rather than the person themselves. It takes a good while to see beyond the tattoos and see the underlying person.
But I appreciate a tattoo is a very personal thing and becomes part of you and your identity.
