Despite spending most of the weekend in a cherry picker doing various jobs at home (oiling some cladding, sorting out the ridge of one of the barns etc) I stupidly agreed to pop over to one of the farms and have a few hours on the corvids. Shot from 5.30-9.30 ...slow going but managed a mixed bag of 17 with a bonus magpie. Nice to be out but would have liked it to be a bit busier ... still...up to 268 ytd ... every little helps :)

Text from one of the farmers yesterday saying the crows had found the barley. Went and had a look but the flat patches are in the middle of the field so not very handy to decoy. Decided to set up first thing this morning (4.30) on one of the grass fields below the barley. Started shooting at 4.45 and as is often the case first thing the crows were in the pattern when I was walking back from the truck. Good start then slowed up which is good as I had to go to work so called it a day at 7.00.

Ended on 26 ...all of which were carrions 👍
