Why do people deprime their brass before selling it??

I struggle with "why would you" as well. If you have a press why go to the effort of depriming if you are going to sell them..surely if you have a press you would be reloading so not selling brass .....

Buying so called "once fired" often is not what your getting or not the same as your last batch . I really see no savings in " once fired " Brass. I have never sold my brass.
Your brass quality and prep is way up there regards avoiding PPP in the field
Also your bargain brass might be difficult to size

Perhaps they intend to use it themselves but sell the rifle or buy new brass? Certainly I have done one or both of these. Not everyone is dodgy and trying to pass off knackered stuff as once fired.
You might not be but unfortunately some people are.

Ive been very lucky with everyone I've dealt with on here but a friend got some "once fired" brass and he couldn't seat a primer in half them as they kept falling out!

Over the years, I’ve sold once fired brass that’s been both deprimed and tumbled and never had a complaint or a suggestion that it’s not once fired.
Where necessary, the brass has also had its primer crimp swaged on my Dillon Super Swage, now try doing that without removing the primer,
Buy from people you trust, don’t tar everyone with the same brush.
