Moderator for 1.25" barrel

Does anyone know of a moderator that works with a 1.25" barrel? One that would screw up flush to the end of the barrel? Most end mounted seem to include a nut or something that results in it stepping down which won't work with me ocd.

I know Hausken do some over barrel versions but they are rather large and heavy, more than I need or want really.

I have a Hausken in .243 not overly big and 310grm, so one of the lightest, not the heaviest.
I'm very happy with it.

I believe they have something funny at the back of them that still requires a spigot, ive a friend with one on a heavy barrel.

Ive several Huaskens, great mods IMO but max barrel diameter is less than 1.25" unless you go for one of their magnums and that when they get big, heavy and expensive.

A-Tec CMM-4 would fit the bill. Not sure if they have a newer model with similar flat rear section.

Jackson rifles might have some old stock.

They do a beautiful end of barrel model around 5-8mm longer than a Jet-Z. My father uses one on his 6mmbr and 22-250 built by @Ronin

They are long forward of the muzzle but suppression is something to be reconned with.

Depending on calibre I have seen the Ase Utra SL5i machined to Match the barrel contour.


I’m using a .223 SL5 (note no “I”) on a 6mm creedmoor. The clearance is nil but my accuracy and sound suppression is significant.


The SL5 is half the length of the MAE
