hi as the title say is a 204 legal for cwd and muntys in england and roe in scotland with a 50 g bullet. if not what is the minimum calibre.

I don't really know about England, Wales or Northern Ireland, but I believe the exception for CWD and Muntjac only applies to .22 centrefires from .222 up .... I may be wrong.

However, in Scotland, the "small" deer is Roe and the rules are simple. You must use an expanding bullet with a minimum weight of 50grains. It must also have a muzzle velocity (M.V.) of not less than 2,450ft/second and muzzle energy (M.E.) of not less than 1,000 ft/lbs
 
It's not a .22 centre fire so won't comply in England & Wales. No need to worry about the north of Ireland yet as I don't think they are there anyway.
 
thanks for that, was torn between a 204/222 so looks like i,m going 222.
will only be used on cwd,muntys and fox. but mainly fox

i,ve got a 22/250, but was going to get something to put night vision on,(not used on deer) realy would be for fox mainly, so now thinking 204 or 20 tac. but will post something on that in the right section.
