Thinnest warmest gloves.

I hate wearing gloves and only wear them when it's really cold as I soon get sweaty hands
I also hate being restricted so are there any thin gloves that offer decent warmth and not "snaggy"?

I have recently picked up some Deerhunter Halifax gloves, they are like a mitten, the cover over the fingers folds back, to leave thin insulating fingers. These are very toasty and the covers are kept flipped back with silent magnets.

Hi Steve

I use golfing gloves, think they are called MW but they are pretty warm, dry quickly and they grip like glue. KWG do them. I Think, far better than the usual thin leather ones and warmer

I don't wear gloves these days much.
I wear a muff (with windstopper) and put 2 heat packs in it for normal use.
In sweden I also put in a charcoal handwarmer and sat still in -26c for 5 hours without cold hands.
Just pull out your hand and shoot or glass and repace in muff.
Great kit.
-26c and you can see it around my neck, put the gloves on to hold the rifle.

I mostly use brown leather gloves from John Lewis, very good quality. Had them a couple of years now and have been used a lot in both summer and winter and are still in excellent order. Warm enough for all but the very coldest conditions and not sweaty in the summer and very thorn proof.

I like the look of the Macwets. Are they stretchy? If I order a tighter size will they give a little so they aren't baggy.

I use woolen gloves that have flip over end that make them into mitts which can be quickly opened to reveal the trigger finger.

been using mack-wets for a while,

i have a size 10 hand and fit a 9 so that when you make a fist the water runs out of the glove and then retains its grip.

not waterproof at all and not that warm,

first pair are on their last legs and lasted a full very busy season last year.

second pair of mack- wet wind stopper, are ok but again not that warm,

i like the look of the Deerhunter Halifax gloves think ill try them if im still shooting this time next week. (may be packing it all in.)

bob.
