just ignored coronation street to catch up on my weekly fieldsports ,shooting show .
take a look 25 minutes in tom wood shooting a fallow with a 308 no visible back stop
this really didnt look good love to know where he shoots so i can give it a really wide birth

Camera angles can be extremely deceiving. YDS has a video on here showing shot and moving the camera to 5ft below him looks like a shot no one should ever take.

There's always one.
Not being there we can not be in a position to know whether that shot was a safe on or not can we?
As already stated, camera angles often show a very different view point than the actual path of the bullet.

cameraman probably waited behind a bit and stalker went forward to get some backstop...... who can say? as we are viewing from a camera lense and not down the barrel of the rifle.

When he walked up to the deer it was laid in the middle of a huge field, I saw no way that a backstop was available.
Perhaps the stalker involved would like to add his comments here first before we hang him out to dry.

camera man was probably asked to crouch or kneel, so had an upward pointing angle, I'm sure the stalker would not go take a skyliner on film, or at all.

I fall foul of this myself, but sometimes we're very good at criticism, yet less self critical.

i think you will find the most tom shoots is a metal target with chris. careful how you word your posts

This raises its head time and time a gain and it should because this is how were learn we must use a safe back stop at all times. Sadly the camera dose lie and there can be a safe back stop for the shoot while the camera is showing a sky line. What should be done in my opinion is a good explanation or the film showing a sky line shot should not be shown. Youngsters coming into our sport look at these videos and take every thing they see as gospel.
Keep the channel going just be careful what is shown matches our Best Practice Guidelines.

Hi Doug, i can loose weight but can you shoot yet?
As always just when I think I'm getting the hang of it I have a habit of missing lol still that's what keeps it interesting isn't it .
I guess the camera can lie a bit can't it I actually thought you looked good ha !
Take it easy
