I'm trying to buy a pair of Meindle Dovre GTXs.

Everywhere I've looked is out of stock.

Has Meindl stopped making them? And is there an equivalent replacement?

Or do people know where I could find a pair in size 9? New?

I do a lot of field work in Africa, and after years of buying expensive boots that fell apart mid way through each field season, I shelled out for some Meindls. They lasted 5 seasons (finally dead now), and I have a (possibly irrational) obsession with them now. It'd feel like cheating to get something else...

I have a pair of Meindl Douvre on the go as well and they have served me well I fancied a change and glad I tried the altberg you won't be disappointed I'd go as far as saying they are slightly better made in half sizes and broad fit too .

I emailed Meindl UK and they sent me a spreadsheet with all of the UK stockists. Phoned my local one who ordered some in which arrived about 1 week later. This was quite recently. Awesome boots!!!!!

In All seriousness Matterhorn boots are the best value for money boots I've ever had , I got my last pair mil surp for 40 quid off eBay can't rate them highly enough
