bad advice...

Been there, done that but I found a bit of plasticine
i won

My older brothers friend used to shoot the darker than average kids across the road with plasticine back in the late 70's maybe early 80's when such practise was acceptable down in Devon. They used to squeal a lot and run indoors which was funny at the time. My brother then shot his pine wardrobe with plasticine expecting it to splatter on impact. Wrong!!!! It went right through both the door and the back board! We informed the ethnic sniper of our results and he thankfully stopped! How times have changed eh?
MS:oops:

a twist of the shiny paper from the inside of a cereal packet with a few grains of damp sea salt work very well from a 22 bsa meteor we found back in the day

oh and three phone directory's won't stop the shot from a no6 3" 410 at 15yrds neither does the garage door behind them or the bonnet of the xr2 fiesta outside

MS ha ha were you talking about YOGI oh no he was smarter than the average bear lol bazil

Don't bother to go stalking when the wind is from the East
Deer will not be out in the rain
Roe deer will never be in a field where there are sheep or cows
Deer will not be out in the open fields when it is quite windy
No point going out stalking in rain, sleet, snow and windy wet conditions.
the .243W caliber will not kill deer cleanly
Expensive prime Brands of binoculars and scopes have 'light gathering' properties
