Scope mounts

Hi, I bought a zeiss duralyt 3-12x50 a few months ago and was just going to get a new rifle, I decided to keep my rifle but can't find scope mounts anywhere the rifle I have is a Brno 243 and have had 4 sets of scope mounts from the gun shops but none of them fit, I even bought a set of scope mounts at the scottish game fair where I was told that they were defo the right ones, but once again they don't fit. Does anyone have any suggestions? thanks stacey

Is that a new model? 8x56 Thought the duralyt models were all variable scopes not fixed power?

What's the problem with the mounts?

​Is the size of the dovetails, or is it a scope height issue?

I can't seem to get any of the scope mounts to tighten together, although 1 set did but the scope would still move.
The scope height is ok, I just can't get any of them to secure to the rail

clamp mounts like warn or shell mounts like sportsmatch !! 30mm scope and 30 rings ! try removeing the scope lock the rings down and see what size you have with you Vernier gage on the i.d of rings just thinking out loud on this one as can't see them

It's a 30mm tube diameter, I'm not sure why it won't tighten to the rifle, could it have something to do with the rail on the rifle?

I use Warne mounts on mine with no problem at all. I have them in both 1" and 30mm. Another scope is currently on mine using sportsmatch mounts in 30mm which are also very good.

You could have saved yourself a lot of effort with a few minutes research beforehand....... see model HT075.

Just for clarity, are your mounts the kind with a vertical split or horizontal?

Well I have a few sets of mounts both vertical and horizontal. Quite a few of the mounts were for rifles with the hole for scope mounts which my rifle doesn't have. Got sold the bisley ones on Saturday, which fit the rifle and the scope but not both together?

this is why i said lock them down without the scope feller it would show any problems with fitting to rifle,what size is your rail to the size of closed rings ! sportmatch do small blocks to convert cz to weaver rail. my old 222 cz needed ajuster block to convert to standard weaver rail. found this for you

Thanks, got a set ordered I had a spare set of mounts for my tikka 22-250 so have been able to use the scope on that one while waiting, the scope was well work the money anyway, even though its not on the intended rifle at the moment.
