Proper Real Tree Camoflage - non of this American made vinal wrapping rubbish - and you can change it as the seasons progress.

Te he heHaving owned several landys and still got one I know exactly what is going on here.... the MOT is obvously due and the rear crossmember has been cleverly covered in leaves!
Remember landrovers arnt just vehicles there a lifestyle a way of life. For every hour driving it there's half an hour spent under it...
I have to confess I have a Hilux aswell now - start and go - bliss. Im still a landrover fan though...
I had landies for 30 odd years, wouldn't go back after the Jimny performance off road.

I love Landrovers as an icon and for the whole agricultural roughness.
But every time I look at them close up I dismay at the seriously poor attention to detail and woeful design
Its like they have designed it to catch water, crap and crud in order to accelerate the decay!!!
Active use of different metal known to corrode when placed in direct contact with each other!!
using non galavnised nuts, bolts, washers and cross head screws in an external placement!!!

I think you've got it nailed! Landrovers are designed with a very small gap in the door rubbers at the bottom to let water out!?!?!? Ughh.... if the water didnt get in - it wouldnt need to get out! Then there's joining steel to alley and all that intails... etc etc
Got to love them for what they are though.
Having had all models SER 1 to TD5 during my time I have heard all the jokes but as said they become a way of life and each has certain little endearing characteristics that become apparent after a period of ownership, for instance my present 300tdi def 90 hardtop has done me well for the last 8 years without missing a beat and last season I really fancied a TD5 90 hardtop so I bought one and parked it next to the old girl, I came out for a days picking up next morning, running slightly late, and guess what.... the old girl sulked and would not turn over, it was very cold and her battery had dipped but I reckon it was jealousy, she had been sitting there brooding and thought I,ll teach the bugger lol.
What do you think, am I too far gone? Is there any treatment for Landrover owners with old oil in their veins?

Ha ha love it.... only way to check the oil level, needs topping up when it stops dripping on the drive....
