Advice needed munty skull mount

Hi there, I have mounted roe skulls before so know how to mount a skull basically. I have a munty trophy I want to mount though and am wondering if there is a special type of shield that I can get that will allow the skull to be held away for the shield enough so the canines don't get in the way?

Hiya yes there is the pattern for it is in the book MUNTJAC by Charles Smith- jones page 165 if cant find it I've got a few already cut out and roe ones and I'm only up the road in Ipswich if you want a freebie ? Bazil

I normally just cut a very small amount of the back of the cranium off at the desired angle and then secure the skull with a cavity wall/plaster board type butterfly fixing. Works very effectively.

Is that some sort of lacquer you have put on the skulls?

Well Dremel polished and then a coat of upva glue/water mimix
