Good luck with immigration Taff. There is more than one way to skin a deer, so to speak. I have had many dealings with the immigration dept here, and know a bit about it should you have any questions. It took us 3 years to get a foot in the door, and that was with us both living and working in NZ.
I think one of the biggest problems with NZ is the low average wage. It can be very difficult and expensive to travel outside of the country once you are earning kiwi dollars.

In fact the UK must be one of the very few countries where crime pays dividends.

It not long a go cost me a small fortune to put Lino down in my kitchen. if you buy a Book in NZ it will cost about $45.00 NZD that is 2/3 more than you would pay in the UK.

60,000.000 sheep in New Zealand and everyone except the crap gets exported. then the home market is expected to pay top$ up to $38 for a leg.

If your in a relationship i.e. married, and after working in the country for 6 years paying your dues, and become unemployed! bugger you won’t get Dole or any other help if your wife is a nurse
because she urns too much???
Hang on Its me who’s paid it to the system, and I still won’t get a penny. Like the UK if you have never worked in your life and moan enough you get the lot!

Stay there and be happy. My daughter is in Australia, the temperature there has been 30C recently, here it has been 3C at the same time.
At least New Zealand and Australia both have sensible policies regarding immigrants.

This country is finished and in a mess. A Labour government spokesman boasted that `they had spent all the money` after they were kicked out.
Our doors have been opened to all the free-loaders and economic migrants of the world irrespective of the fact that many can only speak one or two words of English. [Asylum, asylum.]
Hampered by the lax Liberals the Coalition cannot mop up this mess even if they had the back-bone to attempt to do so.


We have one of the lowest old age pensions in the EU and within months we will be over-run by another swarm of foreign economic wasters.
These will need to be fed and given accommodation even though we have vast numbers of our own young jobless and lengthy queues for housing.
