Loss of Etiquette on Stalking Directory

Just directed Mrs Finnbear's attention, to some top pictures of Teckels, downstairs in the Classifieds....... after the inevitable OOH's & AAhh's............. She noticed what I had commented on, was a "Very reasonable price for a pup of such distinction" ......." Hasn't He got any Runts?":shock: So I put it in here, with it's very large portion of lack of etiquette!.

I think bad spelling is bad etiquette, especially when spellcheckers are there. I think putting posts on as though you're a 12 year old girl texting on their pretty pink mobile is bad etiquette.

I think that wanting to have everything on a forum exactly how you want it to the detriment of others is bad etiquette. Bad form, old boy!

Rite m8 cu l8ter lol! ATB.

using spell check is very usefull if you no what you are looking for  and if i new the correct spelling off a word i would be able to spell it .anyway i dont no where the spell check is on her

Numbers of posts are no guide to good etiquette.

Example....
Fairly new member with few posts asks "anyone any experience of these" (gives bullet type)
Fairly established member with lots of posts replies with one word answer "yes".
Squabble ensues.
Custard pies fly.

Good thread - well done OP. :tiphat:

It could be the same few constant;ly checking fur any gramatikal errors - with obvious gleee - but the number of reads showing on this thread suggests it's a topic that does interest many.

I take heart in that. My feeling is that the forum is still dominated ( and I choose the word with care ) by relatively few and of those a very small number by accident or design preserve quite a clique. The freedom of expression of a few is possibly stifling that same 'right' amongst others? No way to evidence really. But ultimately there are nowhere near the number of active participants on here that there could be nor the representation from the trade. Whatever the reason, there is one for it.

Admin ( and Jayb :D ) do an unenviable job rather well on the whole of keeping things moving. Damned if they do and D'd if they don't - I fully appreciate.

Mischief comes and goes - and we thankfully seem to be on an upswing. Regardless, there's a great deal of good comes from SD - worth keeping that in mind.

In that context, it matters not one jot to me how someone politely expresses themselves. It's the content that matters. If it annoys you so very much to cope with less than perfect literally style, then exercise your right not to read it. I know it can be frustrating going into a thread to have to find out you aren't interested etc - its an imperfect world. But so long as a point is politely expressed, I'm interested in it - whether I agree or otherwise with said point. It would be a shame to think people are led to feel excluded over that.

Now, if you cant say 'hello' without four letter expletive deleted's, you cannot carry on a discussion without character assassination, get your kicks from having the fantasy that you can intellectually tie people in knots, are so desperately sad that you believe for one second that posting after having a skin-full absolves all sins and is jack-the-lad humour; or you can't even follow the simple tenet of 'if you have nothing good to say, it is usually better to say nothing' - quite possibly because your keyboard alter-ego cant abide being 'dissed'. Then why on earth should Admin continue to allow you to inflict yourself on us?

Open, free, fair - to all ... oh and three strikes and you are gone for good no matter who you are :D

Moray i like the cut of your jib old boy, your vessel is not empty and therfore makes little noise, but the content was apt.

This is a great asset, and i felt strong enough to speak up

Its worth speaking up for in my opinion

From your comments and from PMs there are a number who feel the same but afraid to speak up.

I have no doubt the noisy vessels will once again max out on osalation and vibration

But this is a great asset

And I think.... the last three posts just about sums everything up, and it would be a very good place to put this thread to bed.:old:

There's one or two instant experts here too who have little to no experiance of stalking who aren't shy about telling others where they're going wrong either that seem to have joined in the last 12 months or so ........
Who are they jimbo?
