Ah Sutch - sadly missed. The last politician who could really say 'what you see is what you get' and not be lying. And never once claimed to be 'a pretty straight sort of guy'. Any party that gives a manifesto promise to make additives to dog food that makes dog sh*t glow in the dark compulsory (so you don't step in it) can only be a force for good.

In the meantime I wish the Conservatives would get their act together but will still be voting for the devil I don't know - I hope we've seen enough of the other lot to give them yet another term in office.

Maybe the sort of party that defends Public Schools where any number of its future members are educated, get to know their own and avoid having to mix with the hoi polloi.

I guess you’re not going to vote labour anyway but you might be interested to know that 11 out of 27 regular members of the labour cabinet have been privately educated.

I am disgusted at the lies that we have been told and the outrageous self serving activities of this government and am embarrassed that they represent us overseas. We don’t have a lot left to shout about in the world but our military have always been a source of national pride. They have even managed to damage that, by going to war for reasons of ego and without adequate preparation and resource. To be honest I would prefer the Scottish National Party to win. Anybody but this bunch.

I am fascinated to see who people are voting for in the other section, is this a protest or a wasted voted. With our voting system the choice is Tory or Labour, any other vote rumbles towards the impotent hung parliament. Lets go for positive action and a real result!

Labour are likely to get back in as they have bribed the FECKLESS, WITLESS, WORKSHY and IMMIGRANTS also the vast workforce on the State will vote for them to protect many `non jobs`.
Regretably this once fine country is knackered and if I was a young person I would bugger off to somewhere like Australia where things are much better.
My daughter went there years ago and is very happy.
We should stop being policemen of the world and let others get on with it.
Curtail immigration, bring the lads back from foreign hell holes, and get rid of foreign scroungers who already had `asylum` in France.

+2 Stag; I agree. I may not have quite the quantity of life experience as you but feel like I'm catching up fast. One thing that seems to come with age is the ability or willingness to tell the truth whether others like it or not; we need more of it.

With regard to voting, I have never voted. It would be asking someone else to have power over my life, so far the results of asking others to take power over you are exactly what I expect, human nature being what it is. I do not know what should replace the current system but it does need replacing in its entirety!

Did the BASC election email letter to the local canadates but only the Conservatives replied,I got a hand writen letter from Nigel Evans who is pro hunting, shooting etc.
For what its worth I have always been blue but I find that they are all as bad as each other at times but the Conservatives are the best of a bad bunch, they might do better if William Hague was back in charge he seems to have come of age and a different person now with more to offer than Cameron.

I did get an inertesting flier from the UK indepenacne party which talked a lot of sence and the facts were spot on but they are not there YET. Another term with Brown and Labour or a hung parliament what a thought.
