But it is about oil - the Westminster government cannot survive without the £1.7billion income from oil.

ps you hae tae change yer wee flaggie!

What planet are you on? North Sea receipts are piffling. More relevant is the £10 billion a year we won't have to pay to keep Scotland on welfare dependency under the Barnett Formula.

You remind me of a 16 year old kid I knew from Kelso. He was opposed to wind turbines because he thought the English could steal the airborne electricity, and he believed Stonehenge was Scottish and had been stolen by the English.
At least his brand of anti-English delusion was original and amusing.

Pointer were will your MP get the Money  I think if you look at this thread you will see the bias against Scotland not with. ;).Relocate what you like to englandshire its time to wipe the slate clean.I cant believe Englanders are not supporting us fully in an independent country they did for all the other colonies.

Define Scottish newspapers - there are only 4 wholly Scottish newspapers, The Press & Journal, The Dundee Courier, The Evening Telegraph and Evening Express I.e. only 22% of papers are truly Scots

The rest are owned by "non-Scots" shall we say and therefore will be influenced by what there closest friends say

....newspapers popular in Scotland read by Scottish people...

Paul you should no how propaganda works through media. you have seen how Jellen claims to be the best of the best now are they really or are they just the same as the rest.
PS Paul it dose work scare mongering and mud slinging.

Because the world has changed and their leaving didn't directly effect the value of British (please note I didn't say English - as I can't be bothered to insult the Welsh and the Northern Irish) pensions, the cost of borrowing, the value of their houses, the value of the pound and so the cost of goods on the high street.

What will be, will be; but Salmond and Sturgeon spout out lie after lie and do not answer the questions put to them. How can you base your future on that?

The truth is that we are better together and Scotland will be worse off without the rest of the UK.

In response to your question about the MP having sufficient money, just turn on the TV and see what is actually happening now! It will only get worse.

The fact is and this is a FACT. If your are in a suit, with a flash ID badge and working in the lower end demographics people think you must be important. I've found as someone who worked in door to door sales for a while just after uni that using a pitch with both doubt (existing provider planning to raise prices or never change for the better) and hope (better service and lower prices pointing at the ££ figures on a leaflet) you'd sell a deal on gas and electric in under 5 minutes even if they had just signed with a competetor!!

When people don't have much, it's easy to sell them the idea of something that sounds better even when you know that's pretty much a lie

Stonehenge was Scottish we exchanged it in a secret deal for the real stone of destiny, which is now in hiding somewhere in Perthsire, we intend to bring it out next friday and crown Mr. Salmond, Eck the 1st, King of Scotland.

Hey Bogtrotter hands off! The stones came from OUR Preselli Hills and we intend to reclaim them. With the rising of Owen Glyndwr our last true prince of Wales!

Can I have some of what the kid was smoking please while the postage rates are still reasonable.
I may need it if the vote goes the wrong way. :)

I remember embarking on my first business venture 30 years ago I did not know what the future held built I did no that I would not be working for some one else directly and would be answerable to my own actions.(GOOD or BAD). After five years some good some bad I moved on to a new venture this required capital to start and I had to put my life savings on the line. At first is was really difficult and I could have easily stopped the business and went back to making some one else rich. Thankfully I stuck by my guns and got on with it. I made ok money and the stability of the company was and is good to this day. Sometimes we are not sure of what will happen but need to take that step. Would England take the step if it were them YES

Absolutely.
I'm sure that's how Greece got into the state they're in. Bet the politicians are doing better than the ordinary folk too.
This "carry on" will keep sociologists going for years trying to figure out how a wee bachle managed to con so many people.
If it's a Yes vote the Scots ones will be struggling to find a grant to fund the research. ;)

The sheep is the natural prey of the wolf.
The rabbit is the natural prey of the fox.
I'm not sure how to describe the natural prey of the con-man.

Even if the vote were to be cancelled today, the divisive effects of this argument will last for generations, bit like the feelings surviving in some pit villages today.

Shabz were is your fighting spirit do you think Englanders would put up with being second best not a chance. Your a wimp mate and should be ashamed to call your self Scottish (If you are) Vote Yes and stop dancing to the Westminster tune.
