Fishing? Mr Crabtree or Robson Green?

Matt Hayes is almost unwatchable as a presenter though. They show repeats of "Total Fishing" I think it's called on one of the more obscure digital channels and it's terrible.

I agree that he can sometimes be a bit annoying as a presenter but he is a very good angler. He's won the Drennan Cup at least once and not many have done that ever, let alone with a televised catch from a day ticket water.

This thread has caused me to shed tears as I’ve only just discovered that Roger Wyndham Barnes passed away last year.

How I could have been so otherwise preoccupied to miss this terrible news I don’t know so all I can do for now is echo what so many of the good & great across the world have already said:

Roger was a wonderful man that I feel privileged to have fished with.

I enjoy Extreme Fishing, I used to enjoy Rex Hunt as well when I was younger, Go fishing with John Wilson was okay, I wrote him a letter when I was 9 or 10 and he replied with a letter and a signed photo, I still have it somewhere, that's not bad. I used to like Screaming Reels and had a VHS of Paul Young called hooked on Scotland, I liked that because it was more sea fishing, I have never done much coarse or fly fishing so the sea fishing shows would be my preference.

Back To Robson Green, I can see why people find him irritating but I find the show entertaining, certainly more so than most other television shows on at the moment.

Thanks for posting that.. I am watching it sitting on climbing tree island at redmire getting driven bannanas by uncatchable carp!
A passion for angling is a great piece of angling film, and yet to be surpassed.
Love him or hate him, Robson's sheer delight at catching a monster fish always makes me grin! He may come across as a knob to some people, but give me him over Matt Hayes any day.

RG would be the first to admit that it isn't an angling show made for anglers. Its an entertainment show made for the general public (and armchair anglers).
