I just spoke to Bushnell customer service. The part number for the 5" sunshade for the 6500 Tactical Elite 4.5X30-50 is 654305B. There are however three variations of the scope (different reticles). The woman there told me she thought the shade fit all of them but would need to confirm the scope model number before saying definitively yes. Cost of the shade is $30.

The code on my scope is 654305MD as I was just fitting the 20 Moa rail to the Remington. So this very likely would have fitted.

Hi marcbo...i spoke to bushnell uk...they have a form i fill out then send it away to germany then they can send me a new sunshade as its lifetime warranty..great company...i had very old bushnell binos that broke ..they sent me new model free of charge....all good mate.. cheers..

With respect you are talking rubbish. Bushnell Hq is in the USA and their European distribution is controlled via Suresnes in France. I was sponsored by them for a long time.

Reluctant to get involved in this but this is the story he told me BEFORE he said he would have the shade which he later didn't want/wouldn't fit/couldn't afford.

So there is a reason he hasn't gone for his free shade. Proof of purchase perhaps?

What I find amazing is that Bushnell would be prepared to believe they shipped a "Flagship" Scope without a shade. Buyer and retailer totally overlooked the 5" by 2" space in the box. Now Bushnell are going to ship a free shade after the event to the end user?

yes i had to email an address in france correct but the reply came from bushnell uk.

..they informed me that the items would be sent from germany..? The optic was brand new on line from a gunshop down south but it never had the sunshade included...the dealer is chasing it up also....i have never had a problem with bushnells after service as i said before they even replaced a set of binos for a free uprgrade....as for that idiot North dorset go and take ya nose for a p!$$.....you nothing but an idiot trying to cause more agro ....clown!
