Scott Country BLACK FRIDAY Deals

Cor Blimey some responses are harsh. Great offers, I missed out on one, but at least they are putting out some great deals to the forum.

I rang today to order a jumper (which is not on sale) but when I was quoted £12.99 for postage to N.Ireland I didnt bother ordering !!
Why are you charging £12.99, N.I is part of the UK and postage with Royal Mail is them same for here as anywhere else !

I bought a fleece in the sale, excellent service and a great saving was a bonus. It came at the exact time quoted.

Hello Devil_Bri

Sending next day delivery with DPD Next Day is £12.99 i am afraid, UK mainland is £4.99-£6.99 however Highlands and Islands is £12.99

(i agree its part of the UK but we do not set the courier price schedules sadly, however much I agree with you that they charge a lot for non Mainland UK). UPS are approx £20 for a Next Day Highlands and Islands delivery.

We can send with Royal Mail at slightly reduced cost for a Special Delivery but as you were advised this time of year we would not guarantee a next day delivery service with Royal Mail.

DPD provide you with a 1hr delivery window, and will let you know 15min before delivery where they are.

I am sorry you found the carriage costs too much to Northern Ireland, an order over £150 is carriage free and we then eat the carriage, but on an item costing £50 the carriage of £12.99 is more often than not, as much as the profit margin.

Regards

Thanks for your reply
But what about those of us who are not worried about next day delivery ? Do dpd offer a cheaper rate ? Royal mail would be around £3-£4 second class I think
It really annoys me when couriers raise their rate for highlands and islands

Parcelforce charge around £15-18 for Highlands & Islands. It does cost us in lost sales. The couriers argue that the much greater milage means the end user has to pay extra. Although annoying, I can see their point. :(

My new snow boots turned up today when I got in & I want to say a big Thank You for this heads up. I got a pair of Sealand Snow King 10" high boots, with rubber lowers and properlt thick insulated snow liner for a song, with a discount of over 70%. Bring on the snow as I am now fully sorted out for footwear. Am very happy with the boots. Thanks SC.
