It does, with all things being equal. The thing that really gets my panties in a bunch is this resentment of wind drift and drop. As I said earlier, I don't take offense to gravity any more and the same goes for wind drift. Both will always plague every shot you take. It's naive to think there is a cartridge out there that "takes care of you" with regard to these two forces of nature. It doesn't exist. As suggested, you can beat them back my going to a faster, heavier bullet with a better ballistic coefficient, but that won't save you from needing to learn how to compensate for them. It never does. The 223 and 204 are small cartridges that are at the end of their usefulness at 400 yards. At that distance physical forces have their greatest effect. You can't criticize them for that.
