Great cheers pal, that's the same rifle as mine,Treat yourself to a box of four or five different brands, and do the fairest comparison you can. I would keep the range a realistic 50m.
I tried CCI and Winchester 42g as that was all I could get at the time. Winnies grouped best but had quite a few 'crackers' that were over subsonic speed and landed high, ruining the groups. I settled on the CCI which have been great, really consistent.
CCI segmented shot great too but are double the price. I still want to try Eley.
CZ 457 16" synthetic stock.
Cheers pal I appreciate that, looks like they do well for you!rws subs are awsome in my finnfire if you was local id give you some to try View attachment 449248![]()
Yeah I used to do bench rest so I had some r50 in the safe and tried that when I initially tested ammo when I first bought the rifle, strangely so standard actually shoots better from mine than r50 did, also I find tac-22 to be good but I'm wanting something as quiet as possible really, my main permission is noise sensitive.Start with RWS and work backwards.
If you wish to really go in for disappointment, purchase a box of Lapua Midas (target ammo) and experience what your rifle is really capable of.

They're certainly made the same, and my norma have the R stamped on themhi matey i think rws subs are called norma subsonics now, same company, i can honestly say ive never had a rws or norma go sonic on me, or misfires, they are ultra quite and deadly on bunnies hope you find some good ammo gl bs.
Tiny, tiny grouping all but assured on paper.I've not tried the Midas or centre-x but I'd be interested to see what they'd do.![]()
Highly unlikely to have any .22 go sonic, most perform in the transonic zone.hi matey i think rws subs are called norma subsonics now, same company, i can honestly say ive never had a rws or norma go sonic on me, or misfires, they are ultra quite and deadly on bunnies hope you find some good ammo gl bs.
Midas + my go to benchrest round, only very slightly better than Centre-X. Pity they cost so much.Tiny, tiny grouping all but assured on paper.

Interesting.I've been using Eley subs, with complete satisfaction since 1984, my Brno seems to like them and they're very quiet. Harvested lots ofwith head shots for the pot. The
is much under rated, excellent nutrition and to my palate very tasty. I've persuaded a number of my neighbours to try them with success.
That is curious, rifles appear to be as individual and odd as ourselves in their preferences, mines a #2 also, vintage 1977.Interesting.
I found Eley subs to be awful through my BRNO #2
