Non-waterproof stalking trousers

Loads of recommendations on here for waterproof stalking trousers but I'm looking for some reasonably warm (regular UK winter, not arctic!) stalking pants with no membrane in them. I've got various pairs of Seeland cargo style which are nice and quite, fit well and seem to wear ok but they always have a crappy membrane in them which isn't waterproof for long and has poor breathability (sweaty as hell, especially when worn under waterproofs). If it's wet or I'm crawling around I'll put decent waterproofs over the top.

Any suggestions?

I like these heavy cotton trousers for year round stalking, but appreciate that they may not be warm enough for everyone.

What are they sized like mate? Do you need to size up with these. Most trousers these days seem small for their size.
Cheers

The Harkila Scandinavian trousers are brilliant for 5° plus dry weather. I have 3 pairs of different age. All wearing well.

Kuiui Attack pants are pretty warm and breathable but mine stay in the drawer if I know I'll be crashing through bramble and have 2 pairs of the £20 decathlon warm green hiking trousers - if is shred them i dont care - they are quiet, fleece lined and breathable and dont massively absorb water so I can't fault them

I really rate these:

You can wear some thermals underneath if it's cold or they do a warm microfleece lined version:

They are reasonably hardwaring and very good value for money.

2nd endorsement for these trousers. Year 3 for mine.

I just can't stop buying them !! They are always on offer in my local TFM farmers shop and best of all they fit my odd shape, and you can take them up easy. I always find that most hunting trousers are made for people who are over 6' 2"

I just wear green moleskin trousers and a button down. Nice and classic and you don’t look ‘hunter’ on your way there and back for stop overs at places. Wellies when wet and hiking boots when dry

Struther Waterproof Field Trouser from Hoggs

mesh lined for warmth and partially waterproof as a bonus.
