Chelsea boot recommendations

I bought a pair of these at the Scottish Game Fair in 2020 - between the lock downs. They were expensive but I wear them a lot and they will last a long time.

Hoggs of Fife also make a good boot, cheaper but not as nice.
I really like the look of those

I always coveted a pair of Trickers, struggled to justify the cost though so bought some Loake. They were nice but they weren’t Trickers, so I bought some Trickers. Chalk and cheese, what a boot.

Also though, for work, I wear Blundstone, great boots and with a wipe with a damp cloth you can wear them anywhere you go.

What size are you? I have some Loake going spare 😂😂

First pair of trickers £60 + vat still have the receipt from macro cash & carry a was 19 years old several pairs latter last pair of lace up dealers were a lil bit more expensive 😬🤣
60 years old now don’t think al need any more pairs

For smart shoes RM Williams are lovely - such a good fit and amazing quality.

My first pair of redbacks were great and lasted for years. The 2nd pair are thinner and softer leather and the elastic is no good unfortunately. Good work boots but not really smart.

If he's like me and they're free he'll be anything from a size 7-11

These are a pair of my boots, I couldn't get the colour I wanted so I asked Richard at the Shoe Room if he could dye a pair of Trickers Henry for me which he did and they turned out stunning, I have other Trickers so I knew my size and could complete the order online, I also have no ties with the company but he has helped me out over the years with various shoes and boots.

Blundstone’s are honestly the most comfortable boots ever, love them! R.M Williams are also excellent if you’re after a dress boot. Hope this helps.

Take a look at the Cheaney Barnes:

Also Penelope Chilvers do some nice Chelsea boots:

I generally like Redwing boots, but their Chelsea models are a bit clumpy, so not really dress boots.

I’m a size 7, dainty little ballerina feet 😂😂

I've been wearing ARIAT's for the last 6 years, nice boots for the money, but both pairs have suffered with the same issue, the Cork around the heels when they get wet its starts coming off, other than that they are fine.

I've just recently moved to Redbacks, nice boot and feel lighter than the ARIAT's, time will tell how they last but so far so good.

I'd like a pair of RM Williams but cant justify the price at the moment.

After trying Cheaney , Loake etc I bought Berwick1707
Made in Spain they are lovely

I bought them at Bruar and had one in my right hand and a Crocket and Jones on the other I certainly couldn’t see a £400 difference

Would recommend a look at the Berwick 1707 if you can find a stockist . I bought a half size down from normal
