Left hand or straight pull

Excellent news ..... what model

I'd be up in a minute only that I'm in Ireland! ..... a Blaser is definitely on the list at some stage - the K95 in 6.5 Swede is my dream rifle!
It’s the T3X Lite, I honestly don’t think you’d regret buying one for a second. I’m a massive K95 fan too but unfortunately don’t have K95 money at the minute but if I ever could get one I’d have to go for the Stutzen version, I think that it’s an incredible looking rifle.

I currently own a LH Heym Sr 20 stutzen 6.5×55 and LH Blaser R8 308 win & 6.5×55. I do not feel undergunned with my Heym just because it's not a straight pull. The important thing is that the rifle fits you.
I once had a Steyr Luxus stutzen that had a right handed bolt and left handed stock. No rifle ever suited me better. I sold it because I had a cabinet full of true left handers and wanted a slightly bigger cal than 6.5×57 but now when I think about it I shouldn't.

...... that's a really nice selection you have there ..... some say! .... I am right handed but left eye dominant ..... have tried going the R/H bolt route (through necessity / lack of availability) ...... it's just easier / more natural (=> safer I believe) to get a L/H bolt.

I liked the BRX then I handled it, my brother who is longer gets the bolt in his face. I currently have a LH Tikka t3 , a doubble sided Bergara ba13 right handed Anschutz 22wmr. Then I started to hunt it was with RH rifles I shot one moose with a rh Tikka it was ok but I bought a LH Varberger as my first own rifle. I have never felt what I needed faster reloading but left handed rifles feels more natural and I can follow the target better. Then I bought my lh tikka I payed $100 (10000sek) more than for a rh, I cuold have bough a lh Blaser r93 for $300 (19-21000sek)more than a rh one but still with a rh plastic stock I dont like that, I couldn`t afford a true lh wood stock. For safety I wear regular glasses or sunglasses/safety glasses with perscription glas.

How many right handed would shoot with a left handed rifle just because it was cheaper if rolls were reversed?
I have handed my lh rifle to a few rh shooter and they give you the look like you have just shot there dog or ****ed on there sandwiches 🤣🤣
I’m trying to learn as my right eye is struggling, it’s hard!

Unfortunately I'm proper cack handed. Left eye dominant too. L/h shotgun and other rifles are lefty too. The r/h rifles are ok but I'm not fully comfortable with them.
Same here - I can handle a R/H Semi Auto in .22 put the .308 Bolt Action and .223 Straight Pull are Left handers and although it meant buying new due to availability, it was the right choice!

Just buy a lh tikka t3 simple as that really shoot straight out of the box plenty of options for aftermarket stocks etc once you shoot out your barrel can rebarrel for less than the price of a new gun I also know where there’s an as new sako 85 fin light lh 308 coming up fs with mod a very nice Swarovski scope 2.5-15-56 won’t of fired 30 rounds also possibly a lh ronin built tikka t3 semi custom 6.5/47 lapua with pse elite stock

I’ve got a lefty Schultz and Larsen in 6.5 x 55. If you are buying new then imo you get a lot more for your money than a tikka albeit the are more expensive.

I hear you ..... would love a S & L but will have to wait I think ..... am not sure who stocks them in IRL - what model do you have? Synthetic or walnut stocked?

I’ve got a classic DL in 6.5 x 55. It was quite a bargain really as I only paid £600.00 and at tha compared to a used tikka it’s a different world (imo).

Ahh didn’t realise you were in Ireland, how hard is it to bring a rifle over from an RFD in NI as you’d definitely be able to get one posted there I would have thought. Worth giving Steve Beatty at Ivythorn Sporting a ring anyway as he is the man who knows everything Schultz and is very helpful.
