Night shooting course availability

What is on the syllabus a 'night shooting course'?
  1. New CL55 best practice (as best practice is now mandatory. Covering legalities and the "why".
  2. Deer ID test (species and sex, taken with NV, thermal, and white light). This one is ridiculously hard. Everyone struggled with the thermal ones.
  3. Night safety shot test (look at various deer targets and confirm safe shot or not)
  4. Night safety chat (like the DSC1 safety chat, but at night)
  5. Night shooting test (basically a DSC1 test, at night). No bother.

I must have forgotten to do my night shooting course when i started foxing. What a load of rubbish
It's all about liability, which is the world we live in now. If the worst happened, insurers would point fingers and ask "what did you do to ascertain that shooter was competent, when you issued their night license".

Foxing doesn't require a license from a public body. They're basically just covering their arses

It does not matter who issued what. If something happened its the shooters fault, he pulled the trigger. He could have every qualification under the sun and have passed every assessment needed. Wouldnt matter at all. Again, load of rubbish.
Been shooting deer at night for the last 15 years, its a money making job and thats it.
