Hi folks....
Boys asked to have plink with air rifles today ...surprised me ....
I have fac rapid12
But I took out the old original hatsan at44/10...
Still had air in it and still pushing 11.87ft lbs !
So good fun and altho I have small hp compressor and cylinder im fancying a springer or gas ram for easy plinking

Im only aware of old wheirauch stuff

Whaats decent springer or gas ram in either wheirauch or other makes?

And if your close to Angus montrose and have on for sale pm me

Paul

I have an hw80 and love it. I tried to get a kit for it…. but the agent for them wouldn’t send it to me to Northern Ireland….. the kit I was looking from memory was called something like a pg4 power glide…..

Can't really go wrong with an hw99s for youngsters. Lightweight, capable and accurate. If you buy a secondhand one, check the galling issue has been sorted.

As above, can't go far wrong with an HW99. If it does gall, it's a five minute fix with a centre punch. They shoot nice at 12ft lbs in .22, a little harsher in .177 if it's much over 10ft lbs. Lightweight and accurate, not too expensive and resale is good if you decide to sell later. I liked mine so much that I fitted a v-mach kit, glided the piston and fitted it in a cs700 stock.

I think remington did a gas ram rifle, but would go for an HW90 over that, theoben also did drop in kits for popular rifles at the time such BSA and Webley, I'd also take a look at the theoben fenman which was designed from the start to be a gas ram, although finding an unmolested example may be a challenge

I have had a lot of airguns to say the least favourite , gas Ram is my least once they leave the high teens are harder to shoot well , I real good pro tuned springer on an rifle like a HW or Air Arms . The best shooting gas ram i ever owned was a Siroco 2000 in .20 there isn't much gain in tuning of them as the higher power the harder they are to get shooting at their best !

HW30 is billed as a junior rifle but the best kept secret........

The .22 is smooth cycling and a bit of tweaking will take it to around 8ft lbs and is the perfect target/plinker.

Stick on a low mag scope - mine has a Hawke 4x32 AO on it - and is a great combination.

Newer versions have the Rekord trigger and had mine fettled, and now breaks like my tikka 2 stage triggers.

The HW95 is a great allround rifle, and if you drop a TBT Maxi pro kit into it, it's superb !. Thank me later. ;) Of course there are the underlevers, HW77/97 and the Air arms TX200 or pro sport, but you need a mortgage for those buggers ( not to mention arms like Arnie ) !. LOL
