Muzzle loaders

Anyone got any links to any good sites on muzzleloaders. It’s something I like the idea of but I’m not really sure if it is something I would get on with.

Been muzzleloading for 39 years. It gets in yet blood.
It can be done the hard way or easy way.
The hard way is to compare it to modern guns and try and clean them the modern way.

The easy way is to learn to slow down, keep it simple and use water to clean in conjunction with animal or vegetable fat based treatments.

This video shows you how to safely load a muzzleloader. Be it shotgun or rifle.

Excellent. So good I had to watch it twice. I think Jess was hoping she was off hunting...

So is it three strikes and you're out for good :-|.. I guess you are on #1 now :scared:

I’ve done pretty much the complete spectrum of muzzle loading stuff . Originals , Contemporary Longrifles , Thompson Center sidelocks and a pile of inlines made by TC , Knight , Savage and Remington . Only I have left is a Remington 700 Ultimate ML 50 cal that I’ve been using for over five years . I forget what year I got it but seems to me Remington was still making them . I use smokeless in it although they did not advocate that practice . IMG_6393.webpIMG_6395.webp59500292590__EA53BD71-6BBF-42EC-8144-15E82A865792.webp
