Schmeisser .223

Hi
Anyone had dealing with a Schmeisser .223 LMR 18" barrel
I have several other rifles in different calibres and another .223. which I home load for and have had no problem grouping at 100, 200 and 300 yds using Swiss RS40 and 65 gr Sierra Game king heads.(with the other .223)
Ive had the Schmeisser several weeks now, and have still to find and bullet/ powder to create a descent group. Tried a number of different weight heads and powders, but still unable to group.
I had a problem originally that if I used the COL of 2.26", especially when using a ballistic tip, the tip was rubbing on the inside of the mag and causing fliers, Sierra were brilliant when I contacted them and came up with a reduced COL of 2.25, this worked as far as this problem, but still not grouping.
Anyone out there found a good combination of head, powder and grains that produce the end product for them with their Schmeisser ? or any thoughts on what i can do.

Hi mate. I’m using 19.6 n130 with a 69tmk. Coal 2.2770 which fit nicely in the standard plastic 10 round mag. Load is a little on the warm side so work up to it.

Mine is also the short barrel version

Thank you, picking up some N140 tomorrow, so will give that a try with 69gr 's

It's a 1in9 twist barrel (I think), depending in what brass you're using 24.5 to 25gr n140, it will ceunhx the powder. Use 69gr SMK not any ballistic tip version at 2.25 COL so mag feeds ok should shoot fine

Shot 1000s from my ar when and a 1in9 twist

Lots of CSR shooters will be using very similar loads in ARs

24.5gns RS52 with heavier bullets, I use 75gn ppu or hornady. 2.25 coal... my 18 inch 1in 9 Bradley Arms could not handle lighter bullets such as the ggg 62 gns

Great, if the work well I’d be keen to know what fps you are getting from the 18inch barrel. I’m getting 2490 from my combo which is low for 223 but good for 14.5” barrel. This was the group I got at 100m, black square is inch x inch

There are a good few schmeissers that got returned a few years ago that just wouldn't shoot. I'm not sure what the issue ended up actually being but it wouldn't surprise me if it's possibly the issue you're having.

Also - there's no such thing as a bullet head
