I’m in the middle of applying the 12th coat of truoil to mine back at home. It’s looking incredible! Almost like glass.

Mine will be remaining in its factory state until or if it gets damaged.

I liked mine so much that I bought another one; Stutzen for the woods and longer barrel and a bit more oomph for the hill. You'll not regret it.

I have a yearning for a 6.5, or 7x65R, possibly a 30R

I had one in 30R Blaser. It was not pleasant recoil at all. Having fired 458W mag and a couple more big ones, it was up there with them. Got rid and went back to 7x57 Mannlicher.

While you're looking for a nice K95 to come up at the right price, keep alert for a Merkel K3 or K4. (alloy or steel receivers). Very nice, accurate, svelte, alternatives to the K95 at a lower price point. Great shooters too.

For interest, I used my K95 for stalking all species of deer in UK, feral goats & fox too. Now I’m old & retiring from stalking, so selling my stuff. You can find my K95 in Classifieds. 25-06Rem.

I use a break barrel Bergara and having strong finger nails is more or less mandatory to remove cases.
For anyone that chews (Do folks still do that?) their finger nails getting a triple 2 case out would be a major job. Especially with cold fingers and impossible if wearing gloves.

I have a k95 in 22 hornet and the only bullet she will fire with easy extraction of the case is rws. It must be down to the brass being a harder brass and not expanding after firing …

You can use a .223 Rem followed by a .38/.357 sizer die to reload 5,6x50Rs, it works a treat for me in the neighbours Blaser o/u and my BRNO zbk.
