I am after a pair of binos for a youngster ( 10 yrs old ) who is currently into bird watching, and he will soon progress into our sport.
Working on a approx £100 spend, can anyone offer a recommedation, even if they are second hand.
He loves my Swaro 10 x 42 but these are out of my budget !
Thanks.

I have a pair of these that live in my truck.
Cheap and cheerful.
They will serve your purpose within budget.
I added a neoprene neckstrap for £7 for a bit more comfort.

Maybe consider the 8x 32 or 10 x 32 variants. Smaller and lighter

Or 7x 32. Marketed as "marine" but just means tough

You can still get Celestron Nature DX in 8x42 and 10x42 for sub £100 (just as prices have been going up recently)

Celestron Nature DX

I use the 10x42 and much better than the cheaper brands in the £50-£80 range for both for clarity and brightness.

On Amazon the 10x42 are now in £150 to £170 bracket .

As a side note, I also use a pair of the DX 10x25 as my car bino's and whilst I cannot see an inexpensive pair, these are also very good.
