£1000 to spend on a rifle

I just traded mines in to madleods of tain -. 308 with less than 100 rounds through it. Bought a Blaser. It should be up for less than a grand.

Please point me in the direction of the under one thousand pound Mauser M12 shop

I think you will find that the inexpensive Federal, Hornady, Remington, etc shoot well in the SHR 970. One friend that has one in .30-06 has shot sub MOA groups with Federal Fusion 165 and 180, with Remington 165 and with Hornady Whitetail 165 and 180 gr SST. He has settled on the 180 gr SST. He is good rifle shooter, but not outstanding, and he said it gives him confidence, and had no hesitation taking a big whitetail but a few years ago, leaning against a tree, from 220 yards.

You might want to do as suggested, and buy a synthetic stock from Numrich / Gun Parts Co, and put your wood stock in a sock.
