I'd have a punt at a 7-08 I think. I can't really fathom what you're searching for other than something to scratch an itch. There isn't much that can't be done with a .308 and .300WSM combo. All deer can run a bit, even if you turn them inside out at 25m with your .300WSM you'll find the odd one that acts like you missed initially!
