It's the exception I think you will find.
Most reloading data 20 years ago was just around 1700 and was not the Hornady loading a thing with Marlin and a 24" barrel.
Most 30-30 are 20".
It's academic really, I couldn't give a rats ass if it was only doing 1000!

Think that's a bit optimistic for the 30-30 mate

Probably, 1800+ (considerably more than .223)

But 2000+ is apparently achievable…..

I’ve applied for the 30-30, and simply put after doing more research I believe a 30-30 would suit my needs better, after stating why I was initially granted the .223 for muntjac.

If they’re happy great, if not it’ll save me the headache of finding 30-30 ammo.
