Is there anywhere in the UK I can go to get experience & tuition to shoot out to 1000yds??
I am fairly competent with rifle from .22lr to .243 and hold a DSC1 but rarely shoot more than 200yds.
Thanks.

Speak to @Edinburgh Rifles. They have a range in the Pentlands close to Edinburgh where they shoot out to a mile, with a series of targets from 100m. They usually shoot last sunday in the month. Coaching is provided by individuals who are extremely good long range shooters and were trained in the military.

There’s also an NRL Hunter UK course upcoming in August I think. Looks very good.

That sounds like a good option. Thanks for the advice.👍

It may be worth looking on the NRA site, I recently did a PRS intro course at Bisley (potentially too far from Scotland but could line it up with a weekend in London or something).

I think we got out to about 700m over the day so not quite 1000m but the fundamentals and ballistics would carry out that extra 300m.

Stickledown goes out to just over 1000m at Bisley so a course may be a good foot in the door to get along to more events there.

Thank you for the advice…I will look into it. Had a chat with Ed at Edinburgh Rifles and looking to go on their monthly visit to a range.
Regards.
