.17hmr CCI A17 Savage Arms Ammunition Availability

Hello,

Contacted my local shop to find out that they no longer stock my preferred CCI A17 Savage Arms Ammunition. The rational for not stocking them is that they come in boxes of 200 and most people only have authority to buy fifty of one hundred at a time, which seems fair enough. Unfortunately my rifle likes them and their terminal performance has been found to be exactly what I want.

Does anyone know who stocks these around the Glasgow, West Coast area?

500 x .22 rimfire is common, less so for.17HMR, apparently.

I had 1500 22 but it mysteriously dropped to 500 and I got a stare when I questioned it but bizarrely they kept the 1000 HMR!
Go figure....

Not alone…

Think it’s also to do with supply - been waiting over a year for some in the South East.

My CZ 455 loves them, but had to move recently to Hornady because of availability.

I believe May of London Ltd at Buckhurst Hill have them in stock. Unfortunately not much use to Rickyk270 but handy for anyone else close by.

On my certificate it is:

250 x .22 WMR
250 x .17 HMR
600 x .22 LR
150 x each centre fire

I ran them down to zero to get a good batch… to find that the local shops only had odds and sods. One box of 50 of Winchester, two boxes of Hornady etc. A three hour round trip to get to a decent stockist.

Authority to purchase went out yeas ago, I don't know anyone with 50 / 100 rimfire of any type on their ticket, with 50 you'd have to run out completely before you could buy more, your shop is spinning you a line s they don't want to stock them any more or can't get any.

100 12B slug
2500 0.22 LR
1250 WMR
950 .357/.38
350-600 of each of the centrefires

I do shoot target with some of the above though.

50-100 HMR is just nonsense

50 hmr ? , you’d have to literally run out before you could buy any more.

I've never seen them in a smaller box, which is unfortunate since I'd like to test them out but don't really want to commit to buying that many.
