HI,

Looking for a nice hunting sling for the upcoming season. I currently have a Niggeloh Backpack Sling but i dont know it just doesent feel right. Maybe im not using it correctly but when trying to put it back on the Neoprene drags on my sleve making it harder to fit.

Any suggestions?

I tried a Niggeloh a couple of years ago & found it uncomfortable.
I now have a Z-Aim Pro sling which I really like.
It's not a two shoulder sling but is like a conventional sling with another strap which is fixed to the pistol grip then goes behind your back & attaches to the conventional sling at the front.
When taking a shot, the strap attached to the pistol grip dangles, which may not suit everyone. However, it certainly keeps the rifle up & really reduces the tendency of the rifle to rotate backwards when using a single sling.

See Z-Aim Pro Stalker Rifle Sling – Best Fox Call for pics (unfortunately out of stock at the moment.

Another vote for Zaim, they are a great bit of kit, I have them on two rifles both thumbholes and they work realms well I modified both so it’s also easy to unclog the “chest strap from the rifle. I have tripped a few times hunting and on all occasions the rifle stays on your back and you have both hands free to arrest your fall plus I can walk all day with it and you are not forever readjusting the sling on your shoulder

I got on of these earlier this year and seems to work a treat.

I'm waiting on a Savage Island one I ordered from eBay the other day, only cost 20 euro so can't really go wrong at that price.

cheers for the posts lads., I reckon im not using the benefit of the clips and might have to start using them to get the benifit of the sling.

Do you wear the sling like putting a rucksack on? I don't use mine like this as it is difficult with jacket, bin is etc and comforting ones arm around. I have mine adjusted so that I lift one side over my head, and it sits on left shoulder. Then put right arm through other sling strap and allow weight onto my right shoulder. It's very quick a d quiet if needed to loft off unexpectedly.
Just bought one of the seeland ones shown above and as a single sling found it very comfortable for the last 3 days. And only 30 quid.
