204 powder choice??

R10x works very well in the .204, ran it with 40-39 and 32gr my go to is 32gr Vmax @ 27.1gr R10x it's over book

I’m using 39grn with 25.1 grn load of N133, recently surprised how slow these are at 3495fps.
Gun it’s really soft recoil and very accurate easily shooting sub 0.5moa groups.
Also been looking at something speedier

I think you’re doing ok with that speed for the 39ers. Mines a short barrel at 19” so that’s average for me. I tend to sick with the 32s.

Try and get hold of some 10x, you will get the 39's shifting along.

After years of having N133 leaving so much moisture in my .20Pracs barrel so bad it would leave a ring of verdigris on the the next bullet up the Chamber and in spite of many other cure theories, a switch to 10x cured it with the added bonus of more fps with less pressure to put the 39gn SBK’s into the better BalCoEff range over 3600fps

Shame I’m going to have to find another powder when I run out! Think it’s going to be one of the Ramshots or even cfe223.
No way I’m going back to Viht.. the only way to prevent it (year round)was to use a bore snake to dry the barrel out after a shot … this was all sitting up a high seat I hasten to add.

Im 27.3grn of rs40 but looking at Gordon's reloading tool lastnight im way over pressure, so checked my fired brass and its just starting to show signs, see bottom left in picture. 20in barrel t3x 39g sbk.
