Given what you've said - the rifle isn't a to be a high volume shooter, and you reload. Perhaps a 22 Creedmoor might be the thing?

I shoot my 223s a lot more than my 6.5s. 75s and 77s are what I shoot most from my 223s.

22 creedmoor isnt available to me. Our rifle market isnt that diverse. I think il drop the 6.5crm, i have a 6.5x55 already and having another "medium power" rifle will hurt mw in the future if i want to get a permit for something like a CZ600 lux in 8mm or an older irm herman 98 in 9.3x62 for instance. Police here theoretically allow almost everything if you can write up a compelling justification but there is a soft rule on how many rifles of a certain type is reasonable. Having a 308, 6.5x55, 30-06, 8mm, 9.3mm and 6.5crm raises an eyebrow. Just like having 5 shotguns, its not oficially capped, might argue they have different fit and balance for different types of shooting, different optics mounted etc. But there comes a point where they will summon you to the station for a conversation about your "collection"

223 or 22-250 fills its own niche and shouldnt raise ant eyebrows later.
