Interested in what you mean by "picked" ?Hard to beat a CZ457 Varmint, my 452 Varmint still does sub 1inch groups at100 yards with picked eley subs.
Thinking of getting a newer 22lr, any recommendations of a half sensible one for bunny bashing and also plinking at longer ranges (150 yards+)
Don't really want to spend more than 6/700.....
I can't think of anything that'd make me swap my Annie 1417.
Interested in what you mean by "picked" ?
Thanks
Years ago, a bloke at the rifle club used to weigh his ammo to check consistency befor he shot his competition cards.Eley subs (but applies to others) noses have differences to the holes on the front, some not formed perfectly, some damaged in box etc, "picked" means i select out all the perfectly formed rounds that are consistant in front nose size/shape and use those for zeroing and hunting, the remainder I use for general plinking.
Hold over from my heavy useage air rifle days when I did similar, and went further, sorting the pellets by size and weight and consistency to get best results.
Yeah but the 452 is even better than thatI am obviously wrong, but I prefer the 455 to the 457… backwards safety and all.
