243 with fox bullets

I currently use Federal Fusion 95 grains in my Rem 700 , 243 win. I only have 3 rounds left. The bullet is excellent. Good accuracy, good stopping power and very litlle meat dammage. The problem is that they will not be available anymore till the end of next year. I don't like bullets that blow fist sized holes in a roe deer. I have to look for another ammo wich is not to brutal.
I don't reload, but a friend can do it for me. So I have considered loading up a round with the 80 gr fox bullet.
The rifle will be used for smaller deer. Roe in Belgium, maybe muntjac, fallow in the UK.
Does anybody on here use them? Powerfull enough for fallow deer? Dammage on meat?
I can get hold of Reloas Swiss powder.

The 80gn Fox works very well, just like all the other Fox bullets. I am using the factory Load Data in my 243 - 40gn of N140, albeit in an RWS case rather than PPU. Shoots well under 1” in my 243 Heym.

Terminal effect on Roe is well “terminal” without silly carcass damage. I haven’t shot big red stags with them yet, but I suspect they penetrate well and cause good terminal damage. Certainly that is what others report. I have shot several red deer with the 7mm Fox 130gn bullet and they are very effective. With these on both Roe abd Red you can eat up to the hole.

The bullet stays in one piece so non of fragging you get with a lead bullet. Most of time I get a drop on the spot, with shot placement being half way up, in line with the foreleg.

My little zeroing range some large rotting logs to which I pin targets. Both the 7mm 130gn Fox and 6mm 80gn Fox will both penetrate 18” diameter decaying Ash Logs. Difficult to tell from exit hole which is which. Gives me the confidence they will work on bigger deer just as well.

Works well on Fallow. Chest shot fallow has so far dropped under 30-40 yards with the longest shot being around 230 yards. I use Ramshot Hunter 44.4gr for 80 gr Fox bullets and it has hit the sweet spot with my Browning A bolt with 1:10 twist and moderator. With regards to zeroing, it was shooting about 1.5" to the right with the elevation almost the same as Federal bullets. The entry wound observed was fairly clean.

Switch to Federal 85 gr copper.I opted for these a couple of years ago using either of my REM 700’s in.243.
Tested Fox,Winchester and Barnes but settled on Fed 85gr copper.Consistent and accurate out to 250 yards.
