You’ll know more about rifles than I ever will. But that’s an easy edit to ‘certain cartridges are flatter shooting’.
Certainly if I take the 6.5x55 out I have to think a lot more than I do with the .270. One must have a slightly better point blank range than the other.
That’s why the .25-06 is appealing but I appreciate it probably doesn’t do anything the .270 doesn’t. But probably milder on the shoulder which does appeal. I can handle recoil but I don’t think anyone enjoys or shoots better with more recoil.
