25g Vmax in 17 Hornet

I've used 20g Vmax (I reload with H4198) since I bought my CZ527 24" new last year. They have proved very accurate and I'm continually impressed with the performance of this little calibre. I reloaded a small number of 25g Vmax recently (H4198 is actually a recommended powder for this bullet) and was surprised to find groups were even tighter than those with the 20g. I have a few tubs of H4198 and was wondering if others are using it with the 25g and, if so, I'd be interested to hear what loads you're using and details of the performance you're getting.

Never a mistake to ask a question....🤔
You are correct but you seem to be doing just fine.

I was just worried you are going to get bombarded with useless information and opinion and heaven forbid if someone mentions pressure signs, then the overpressure police will chime in!

H4198 is a relatively low pressure powder for the 17, especially when compared with others like Lilgun. The Hornady reloading manuals recommended maximum load for the latter is dangerously high and a stray grain can cause issues.

Bombarded with useless information and opinion? Not on here (or any other forum) surely? 😂😂😂
