not strictly true.We went last year with John and Christian running it out there we only got 1days moose hunting because 3 were shot on the first day, not what we booked was it John as we all pointed out at the time but we made te best of it and made it a great trip even tho we didn't get the hunting promised.
a large cow was shot in the back leg and ran 4km over the boundary and the club had specified NO cows. This now involved the neighbouring club who also don't shoot cows, thus loosing face, a political nightmare.
This left us in a quandary the club wanted us off because of this. She also had milk so there was a calf somewhere and day 2 was spent doing small drives in the area looking for the dependant. The club was not happy. day 3 no moose dogs were available as the club members pulled out of the hunt. so we looked for whitetail with the landowners dog which are there but in not big numbers and 1 was seen in a drive. You hunted most nights from the tower also if I remember so got in plenty of hunting in, which was the best of a bad job considering we could have all been going home after the cow incident. It was neither mine or Christians fault a cow was shot when forbidden and I think the fine we paid and Christians diplomatic skills on that night were good. Roe, pig, moose and a coon dog were taken on that trip and you yourself shot a large boar. Where you got the deluded idea that there would be a moose tag for every hunter every day is beyond me the moose would have to be like munjac to do that. And the logistics in moving 8 moose every day and skinning them would have been immense. Animals were there in numbers it was a successful hunt and would have been awesome had the incident not happened. Not blaming anyone else. If your on a cock shoot you don't shoot hens, if you do the keeper will fine you or send you home or both.
