.308 Moderator Recommendations

The SL5 is a solid if heavy moderator. Had mine since 2013 and still going strong.

I think it’s lighter and shorter than both my Hertz 119 and Wildcat EVO?

I can thoroughly recommend the Dpt moderators.
I have one for my 30-06 and another for my .308
I own an F&D moderator but having tried one against the other my go to moderator is the Dpt

Any tips on spraying an SL5i- I’m thinking just use high temp spray paint and it shouldn’t need primed as the surface appears to have been blasted already?

SL5 and matt black heat shrink. Simple.

I rate ASE mods well and like the look of them, although some are heavy.

DPT look smart and are very light and you can add or remove baffles. I'm sure I read about buying a additional stainless baffle to go on first to prolong life from gas cutting
