308 or 6.5cm

.308.... its ok
6.5 .... I like much better.
I prefer the way it shoots and didn't like the. 308.
Quarry, availability, weight n twist rate all add to your decisions.
But from pleasure of shooting, the 6.5 is somehow much more refined.

What is the range of game you shoot? All three of those calibres cover UK deer species adequately. Personally, with a .270 in the cabinet I would not buy a 6.5 or .308 rifle. I occasional get invites for driven boar and have a .300 Win Mag which represents much greater calibre separation.

1. what 130grn non toxic are you using ?
2. what do you sue the subsonic rounds for ? what bullet, load & weight etc ?

cheers
Paul

130gr TTSX on fallow it has been working well. Although I will move to some of those that shed petals next just to see if I can get any better than dead!

165gr Sierra gameking 10gr Tin star. Used for foxes around the chicken coop. Saves taking the .22 with me. No one likes upsetting the farmers wife with even a moderated full house round.
