6.5 PRC moderator recommendations

I've just ordered a new rifle in 6.5 PRC, it will take approximately 6 months to come, so I'm looking at getting a few bits and pieces for when it arrives.

What moderators are people recommending? The thread is 5/8" - 24.

The barrel is 24" long, so my preference would be a reflex type over barrel moderator to keep overall length down.

It will be used predominantly for stalking and long range daytime foxes, but will be looking to do a little bit of long distance stuff now and again.

Thanks

I've a Jet Z on my 6.5 prc, works very well, my rifle has a 24" barrel too, didn't needn't to be an especially light or compact set up so I'm happy with it and I already owned the mod so just had to have the thread section changed at Jacksons.

Been using a Svemco Magnum for six months which tames the PRC very well

Expensive if its just for one rifle but with their QD system I can use it on three rifles

On my 6.5 PRC, I’ve used a DPT, an Atec Hertz and an Atec H2 or 3 (can’t remember which the current one is). Seen clients use all manner of things.

All much of a muchness.

I don’t think there’s enough in it to worry about.

I’m using a Stalon XE149 on my 7mm PRC. Interestingly all Stalon X series are magnum moderated but the longer back portion of the XE assists with the additional sound, heat and recoil of magnums.
I have Stalons on all my rifles and their customer service is second to none. If you’re looking to keep the length down get the XE108.
