Anybody using v150 in 6.5x55 with 120gr sierras just shot a decent group with vits max load of 41.5gr the start load was like a shotgun the final maxload was three touching and one quarter inch off which i am happy with

My last were like that but with varget 120grain sierras all but gone now
So went n160 yet to start to load hopefully be as good as varget 🙏

Hopefully mate, and from the projections i've seen (i'm working up a load for the quite similar 6.5x57 myself) the n160 is a pretty good match for many projectiles in the 6.5x55 cartridge.:)
However isnt it the N150 that is supposed to be the viht equivalent to varget?

Nope, but as mentioned i'm starting to load develop for a 6.5x57, also likely with the N150, so i am kind of hoping that i can match your end result experience

I used varget before with 100gr and 140gr but i am using varget only in 7mm-08 the 41.5gr looked good but i havent pushed it any farther with no preasure signs at all and with vits known practice of light loads it may go farther but the result i got was really good as the first loads were shocking

120gr Sierra ProHunters and N160, sweet as a nut in the swede. Still have a few boxes sitting in the loading room waiting for a return to the 6.5x55

Just reloaded 40 rounds that i had primed when i did the test rounds when i went to resize and prime more cases the primers i now have are silver cci old primers are brass coloured pos.federal ?

If they are both LRP then they should be fine. Shouldn’t notice much if any difference but by all means throw a few down range to make sure.

By the book if you change any one component you should work up again to be safe, this is particularly important with top end loads.

That doesn’t mean starting at the bottom of the ladder but if drop back a couple of grains and back up at .5 gr increments to be sure.
