Right then, I have with a heavy heart decided that I will not renew my personal Firearm Certificates or RFD come their date of newel in 2026, that said it is sometime away but it will take me this period to get out of my firearms commitments in the UK and sell what I have accrued over the last 54 years of shooting/conservation/bushcraft/expedition equipment - everything will be up for sale, but during and up to then you have my total support as normal.
I give all colleagues this notice so they are aware and can plan this period should it affect them.

I will be listing ALL my equipment in the classified sections so look out...

P.S. I will remain on the SD as guardian to 'Ole JAK'

It comes to all in the end ! Good luck tried it once soon returned as her indoors kept finding me stuff to make of paint lol.
So happens I too need a man that has a shed in need lots of old collectable war stuff shell cases etc to make a mundane shed into a man cave .
The thought of pulling deer around at 64 has become a chore that no one of a age relishes or even the 2am starts tend to make me shiver ! but we still cant stay away from it or the solitude it gives us all .

Mmm! One of my bosses recently said I should be good for another 15 years of culling. I've already have artificial body parts. Don't get me wrong I would love to be able to do so but the human body and age has got limitations.

That's a real pity......can I have your ground please?🤣
Joking apart I bet you get enquiries!

Don't do anything rash, I was talking to a member on here who is 85 and he still goes out fox shooting!
That did not impress my wife as I'm knocking on the door of 63 as well

it's simply that I have been fortunate to complete our house in Italy and now that my three girls have left home here in the UK and sorted I would like to split my time unevenly in the bias to being over there and while good health is on my side enjoy it with my younger wife, I'll still keep a foothold here but a small cottage (that's if we bloody make up our mind where!!) so to have the hassle of guns removed free's me up even more, I do dabble over there so may do a little bit but like a grandchild? I can hand it back to the younger ones.
Thanks for all the private messages, phone calls and concerns, humberling, but believe me all is good, thanks Boyz and Gals so onto clearing the stuff...

A HW97 in .177 and a Customstock CS800, a little triggerwork and you can enjoy shooting anywhere for a decade or two more.

My business partner Oliver will pick up the baton for "if we die" and I will remain in the background regards the legal stuff

I'm quite happy in Italy on the mountains with what rifle is given to me or on the flats with a black powder 50cal helping the local farmers defend their land from piggies
I will remain teaching/coaching in the UK if the club members still ask questions and need me
